Farrar and Rinehart was a publishing company founded by John Chipman Farrar, Stanley M. Rinehart and Frederick R Rinehart in New York in 1929. In 1946 the company was renamed Rinehart & Company at the departure of John Chipman Farrar to Farrar, Straus and Giroux. Some volumes still appeared under the Farrar & Rinehart label through 1947. Farrar & Rinehart enjoyed success with both novels and non-fiction, notably, the Rivers of America Series and the Nero Wolfe series of Rex Stout
