Women football are recently new in the Faroes, it only dates back to the 80's, and since then the formerly clubs has continue to support the women's teams, so it has grown since. But the women's team in the Faroes is not so easy to find, because the are always under the first team of the menn, and there are not so many teams in the Faroe Islands, so there are only 6 teams in the best division (1. Deild), and they are in 2007/08:
