Farmington is an unincorporated town in Graves County, Kentucky, United States. Farmington is located 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Mayfield and 13 miles (21 km) west of Murray. The zipcode for Farmington is 42040 and has a population within the zipcode of 1,160 people. Since 2000, it has had a population growth of 2.62 percent.

Farmington was home to the Farmington High School until 1983 when all of the regional high schools of the area combined to form Graves County High School. Farmington Elementary School is located near central Farmington. Farmington Elementary School is ranked amongst the highest in the state, receiving a National Gold Medal award in 2007.
