Farm to Market Road 5 or FM 5 is a Texas state road running from Interstate 20 near Weatherford south and east to Aledo. The route was originally designated in 1942 from Aledo due north to U.S. Highway 80, replacing Spur 131. By 1963, it had been extended west and north to Weatherford, replacing FM 1545. In 1985, the original portion of the route was transferred to FM 1187.
