Farm to Market Road 170, FM 170, or the River Road, is a two-lane, state-maintained highway that runs from Study Butte near Big Bend National Park towards the Rio Grande at Lajitas. From there, it runs along the river west and then northwest to Presidio. From Presidio, it runs further northwest and then north to the small settlement of Candelaria. It connects to US 90 and I-10 through backcountry farming and ranching roads.
