Farm to Market Road 149, or FM 149, is a state highway in the U.S. state of Texas. It runs approximately 50 miles in Mongtomery and Grimes counties, connecting the two county seats.

[edit] History

FM 149 was created in 1945 as a short spur between Anderson and Richards inside Grimes County. Eventually, it was extended to Montgomery and later down the Tomball Road to Interstate 45 in Houston.

In 1988, the road was truncated to its current length and the remaining section was transferred State Highway 249.
