The first junction is FM 762, which passes George Ranch Observatory and Brazos Bend State Park, entering Richmond. From that point, the road is now on an easterly route, crossing over the Brazos River into Brazoria County once again. Seven miles east of the bridge is Rosharon and the intersection of FM 521. After that point, FM 1462 begins it's trek past several new neighborhoods and new subdivisions, finally reaching Alvin and the intersection of State Highway 35 in front of Alvin Community College.
