Farid Babayev

Farid Babayev (Фарид Бабаев; died November 24, 2007) was a Russian politician with the liberal anti-Kremlin Yabloko party. He was to lead the regional list for the party, but not expected to win a seat in the December 2 elections, as the party may not reach the minimum threshold. He was shot late November 21, 2007 in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan. Doctors said he was shot four times, including at least once in the head. He died November 24 of his wounds.[1]
