Farhad Rostampour is an Iranian-American pilot.

On July 18, 2007, Farhad Rostampour, a US-based pilot, completed a record setting flight around the world in his single engine airplane. He flew 34000 miles around the globe, landed in 21 countries and made 43 landing in major international airports. Farhad is the first Iranian-born pilot to complete a record setting flight around the world.

This flight is known as the Freedomflight, with the mission of making the global connection of peace, freedom, hope and achievement through aviation. Rostampour’s goal was to reach out to young Iranians and help them recognize that they too have alternatives and hope for a better future.
