Farhad Moshiri (businessman)

Ardavan Farhad Moshiri (Persian: فرهاد ﻣﺸﻴﺮى, born 1955, Iran) is a British Iranian businessman and investor based in London. Moshiri owns and has shares in numerous steel and energy companies in the UK and Russia.
Moshiri is an Iranian-born British citizen; along with longstanding business partner Alisher Usmanov, he is co-owner of Red & White Holdings, which owns 14.65% of the shares in Arsenal Football Club, bought from former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein in August 2007. On September 18th 2007, Red & White Holdings increased their stake of Arsenal Football Club, to 21%. On September 28th 2007 Red & White Holdings has increased his stake in Arsenal to 23%, a week after saying he wanted at least a 25% holding in the football club. Arsenal managing director Keith Edelman told BBC Radio 5live: "They've said previously they are not going to make a bid for the company and they want to be long-term shareholders.
Moshiri is a chartered accountant and previously worked for Deloitte.
