Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra

The Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra (FMSO) is a professional orchestra based out of Fargo, North Dakota. The symphony employs local and regional musicians in performances of classical and modern symphonic music.
The FMSO began operation in 1912 as a small community orchestra under the direction of Harry Rudd, showcasing its talents during a Norwegian Saengerfest. At the time, the orchestra was comprised of 40 musicians. Today, under the direction of Bernard Rubenstein, the orchestra performs 23 times through the year in various capacities.
