Fardalen

Fardalen is a valley stretching west from Øvre Årdal in the municipality of Årdal. The highest located road in Norway has its path through the valley, reaches more than 1 400 meters above see close to the famous mountain Store Skagstølstind and ends up in Fortun.
The valley was inhabited from circa 400-500 AD. A few new houses has been built in later years.
In the winter there are lighted ski tracks in Fardalen.
