[edit] Capitalization in Evanescence-related articles

You have been capitalizing the instruments and other information for band members on various songs and albums of Evanescence-related articles. Please stop doing this, as it violates proper grammer rules. These instruments and other words are not considered proper nouns, and thus should not be capitalized. Please leave a message on my talk page with any questions. Thanks. -- Huntster T@C 04:32, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Demo Tape 4

Hello, do you have the Demo Tape 4 and could you share Blue, Friik and Storaged with me? It's not illegal to do so. Gracz54 07:23, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

I found someone with the real full tape, I asked him to share it Gracz54 07:46, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Do you, or any of your friends, have the physical copy of the tapes? If so, could you upload a photo of the cover for Demo Tape 4 here on Wikipedia? Gracz54 18:30, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Actually I know about the soadfans.com download site, I meant the physical copy of the tapes. And yet still we wait for the Untitled 1995 Demo Tape, the Holy Grail, yes? ;) Gracz54 18:31, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Storaged demo

The proper Storaged demo is 1:27, please stop changing it to 1:19 which is the length of the retail version of the song... gracz54 09:10, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ev chronology section

Please stop including album covers in the chronology sections of articles. This is a violation of Wikipedia's fair-use policy regarding images, because the images are not being discussed, and are merely decoration. -- Huntster T@C 01:00, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks :) Yeah, there was considerable debate about this type of thing in various related WikiProjects and Policy pages, and it was determined to fail fair-use. As for The Used, it does appear they are in bad violation of these image policies. I probably won't make changes myself, but may bring it to an admins attention, so they can make the determination as to what should be done. I'll just have to determine the history. Thanks again for understanding. -- Huntster T@C 01:10, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Order of Ev players

Greetings Daron, just a note, please do not de-organise the list of band members on articles unless you have a specific reason for doing so. As is, they are all organised alphabetically except for Lee, for obvious reasons. Also, I strongly encourage you to use the edit summary field, to briefly explain the edits you are making and why you made them. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to ask. -- Huntster T@C 00:36, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Apex Theory & VoKEE

I appreciate your help with The Apex Theory and VoKEE articles, but many of your changes are either incorrect or are negatively effecting the article. For one, I am not sure why you insist on removing the links for instruments, as they are pertinent for those interested. Also, according to the website and my few e-mails to him, he just goes by Ontronik, sans his last name, for band-related activities. He is listed simply as Ontronik in both the Pre-Motional Songs EP and Riding The Walls EP. And the members you keep crediting for duties on Pre-Motional Songs were NOT involved with the recording of the album.

If you have any questions or comments please go to my talk page. Thanks!

[edit] Danny Elfman photo

Hey, I'm not so much of a stickler for this kind of stuff, but sooner or later, someone will tag that photo with a message saying that it needs a Fair-Use Rationale, and explaining where the photo came from. Let me know if you need help. Cheers! Murderbike 19:29, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:0705 JohnDolmayan1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:0705 JohnDolmayan1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. [edit] B.Y.O.B.

Hi, please stop adding Casey Chaos as the song author in B.Y.O.B., because he's not credited on the album. I know Daron stole the song from Casey, but still, Casey is just not credited. gracz54 (talk) 21:44, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Underscores

Just to let you know, when making wikilinks, you don't need the underscores (the _'s), the underscores should instead be replace with a space. It's not wrong to do it the way you did it, but most editors do it the other way so all articles are the same so you should probably start using the spaces. BsroiaadnTalk 02:05, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Metro

Could you please stop editing the name of Metro to "The Metro" in Lonely Day (EP)? I know the original song was named like that but the name of SOAD's cover is "Metro" on the cover of the Lonely Day EP. gracz54 (talk) 15:59, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Remove SOAD airplay only singles

Hi, what do you think about removing the airplay only singles off System of a Down's discography? I think I'll start doing it soon, if you think it's wrong leave me a message on my talk page, thanks. gracz54 (talk) 14:40, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Alright, I've managed to sort it out, I changed the single infoboxes to song infoboxes on the airplay singles, removed the airplay singles from the discography article and the band template. gracz54 (talk) 16:42, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Well, in my opinion, airplay singles are not singles at all because every song could be an airplay single in that manner... gracz54 (talk) 17:10, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Boom!

Well, Metro also has a video, and it's not a single, now is it? There is no official single release, so that doesn't make it a single... or so I think. gracz54 (talk) 17:26, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, well, still, it didn't have any official CD release so I wouldn't consider it a single. gracz54 (talk) 22:47, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Nah, if you think it would be better, then go ahead. gracz54 (talk) 22:53, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Cell Mates.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Cell Mates.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 20:06, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Screaming Mechanical Brain and other related articles

Please do not re-create articles which have been deleted. Doing so is likely to get you -- and any other accounts you or your friends may create -- blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Screaming Mechanical Brain for the deletion discussion regarding this article.

If you want to recreate a deleted article, please use the Wikipedia:Articles for undeletion process instead of simply recreating that article. -- The Anome 18:11, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Sorry for giving you a pointer to the wrong page. I should have said to use Wikipedia:Deletion review, which is the current way to do it. There are full instructions for what to do on that page. -- The Anome 19:55, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Recent articles

I see you have been creating articles for each song of an as yet unreleased album. This proposed guideline gives some info one which kinds of songs are suitable for individual articles. I don't think any of these are suitable at the moment. Could you read through the proposed guideline before creating any more articles. Cheers Kevin 12:36, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Baby (Serj Tankian song)

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Baby (Serj Tankian song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Kevin 12:39, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

I have also proposed the other individual articles, but I didn't want to fill your page with the same template. Kevin 12:50, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Empty Walls

Empty Walls, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Empty Walls satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Empty Walls and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Empty Walls during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:There Is No God In Space.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:There Is No God In Space.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Some good examples of this are the SoaD info box and template, the Scars on Broadway infobox and template, and even the opening paragraph in the Scars on Broadway article, listing it as Daron's side project, while John is also a member and from SoaD. I have no time to fix these, so im just letting you know. 99.234.164.101 21:06, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Metal Kombat.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Metal Kombat.jpg.

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 20:28, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Cowboy_Bebop_Vitaminless.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Cowboy_Bebop_Vitaminless.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 00:28, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
