[edit] Work
I'm a chemical engineering student at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. I'm a huge math dork, science geek, music nerd, and I skateboard and snowboard so I can tell myself I'm cool.
I work for the Diabetes Institute for Immunology and Transplantation and the Cereal Disease Laboratory. I'm preparing to do UROP research at the DIIT on perfluorodecaline's effects on oxygen diffusion in engineered tissues, specifically for constructing a bioartificial pancreas.
Academically, my interests aren't exactly in mainstream chemical engineering. I'm much more intrigued by bioengineering, including metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, tissue engineering, biomedical engineering, molecular engineering, protein engineering, genetic algorithms, bioinformatics and biocompatible materials.
[edit] Soul
The following lists are more for my own refrence than for the benefit of any poor soul who wanders onto this page.
I kinda like this girl. Her name is Jac. Or Jacquiefa.

Heroes: I think Mark Twain wrote better English than just about anyone else, and Gandhi lived better than anyone just about anyone else, Rick Rubin makes better music than anyone else, and Jack Kerouac just lived more than anyone else. Some of my heroes are (not in any particular order) Martin Luther, Martin Luther King, Jr., Richard Feynman, Dr. Paul Farmer, Thomas Alva Edison, Albert Einstien, Thomas Jefferson, Stephen Colbert, Sitting Bull, Jesus, and all the artists who know that their work is just a drop in the ocean, but do it anyway, hoping.
