[edit] What NOT to include in this article (and what TO include)
Greeting editors!
Before adding or re-adding any content to this article, allow me to make some big suggestions based on some past experience I have had:
1. Go visit Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools to get a feel for what Wikipedia is looking for in articles about schools. There are a great many things that you can research and include, but there are many things that you may passionately feel are important, and simply don't belong in an encyclopedia article. Remember, this is not your school's homepage ... it is an encyclopedia article about your school.
2. Specifically check out: What not to include. This section outlines things that, even if you think they are important, will likely get deleted eventually, and would likely not hold up if the article gets sent to arbitration. Among the things not to include are events of short term importance like last year's football schedule, how far the team made it in the basketball playoffs (unless it was like a top 4 finish or something like that), the names of coaches or teachers (unless they are otherwise notable), this year's spring musical, etc, etc. These are all either unencyclopedic, or are matters of short term interest.
3. Consider having this article assessed by either the folks at WikiProject Schools, or at Wikipedia:WikiProject Colorado. they can be reached by the big links at the top of this Talk Page. People associated with the project will assess the article, and will give suggestions for improvement. This may help more specifically guide editors as to what needs to be added and what needs to be removed.

[edit] Question
Does that mean that if we post our school schedule of that year, it will get cut. Yet if we post info about that year it will not get cut.
I just wanted to know because I go to Falcon and I saw the schedule on there, and I found it helpful to know what teams we play against this year.
I came on so I could add the players of this football team, so that's also over the rules? Why?

- I would guess that the answer to your question is "yes". One of the key things to think about is: this is an encyclopedia article about the school, not the school's homepage (this is how it was related to me by an editor I had a run in with). I agree that schedules of that nature would be useful, but it is not considered "encyclopedic" (if you went to an encyclopedia, and looked up "University of Colorado", I think there is general agreement, you would not have a listing of that year's upcoming games, nor would you find the previous year's results.
As for adding information about the current year, it greatly depends: I would guess that a State Title is notable. Information about current ACT scores, ongoing construction, or an ongoing controversy that is receiving national news coverage would probably be notable.
Mind you, I am guessing, but I really think I am making a good guess based on experience. My surefire way of being sure is to get the article evaluated from Wikischools. They would give you a more authoritative thumbs up or down.
Best of luck! LonelyBeacon 06:48, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Ok, Thank you very much.
I just was wondering why, because you have the whole seasons of some teams (lets say the 2007 Colorado Rockies) so I was wondering why High Schools could not do the same.
Thank you. War bloodline 21:11, 2 December 2007 (MST)

- To be honest, I'm not 100% sure, other than to guess that with sports teams, their schedule is kind of what they are there for, while schools are there for different reasons. I don't want you to think I'm some "know-it-all" ....I just wanted to pass on some hard earned give advice. LonelyBeacon 04:59, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Ok, and I want to thank you very much for the advice. I am happy that my school even has a wikipage, I was just wondering what we could do to make it better (then our rival school Sand Creek High School).
So I thank you for helping me understand what I can and cannot do.
Thank you very much. War bloodline 23:04, 3 December 2007 (MST)
[edit] The Founding of Falcon.
I know that Falcon was found within the Late 1800s and the Early 1900s, now does anyone know the real year?
