The False Smooth Snake (Macroprotodon brevis) is a species of snake in the Colubridae family. It is found in Algeria, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, and Western Sahara. Its natural habitats are temperate forests, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, and rocky areas. It is threatened by habitat loss.
