[edit] History

Fallon was founded as Fallon McElligott Rice in 1981 as an agency for customers with smaller ad budgets. In 1984 it was named agency of the year by Advertising Age, the first of several such awards that it has won in its history. Fallon has also won more creative awards than any other agency in the world, including print campaign of the decade for the 80s and the 90s, and the first Cannes Grand Prix Titanium Cyber Lion that was created specifically to honor BMWFilms.[citation needed]

In 1998, Fallon embarked upon a global expansion program to serve its multinational clients. In 2000, Fallon restructured itself, creating a "inventing connection planning" division and building a digital communications group to create advertising for the evolving digital media marketplace. The company has also expanded its services to include viral marketing content such as BMW Films for BMW, the Archipelago Open Show and Press The Green Button for Microsoft.
