Talk:Faith Evans
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Debut album misinformation
"The album was certified Platinum and sold just under a million copies, with 903,000 copies sold according to Nielsen Soundscan" -Now isnt platinum a million copies sold? How can it be certified platinum if it is not?
[edit] Is faithfully gold or platinum?
"Even though Aaliyah is featured in Notorious BIG's video "One More Chance", the vocals were done by Faith Evans."
Where should this be put? Its in Aaliyah's trivia section.
Faithfully was certified Platinum recently
[edit] Heritage
Is there a source for her heritage? Evans is most certainly not an Italian last name. Is this her family's last name, or does she go under a pseudonym? Perhaps her father is of another descent as well? Michael 03:39, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- the italian origins are famous, but she uses another name, I think, because "father" is a fugitive...
Faith Evans' father was Richard Swain. He was a member of a little-known Southern band in the 70s. He didn't want his daughter even before she was born. He pressured his then-girlfriend Helene Evans to either get an abortion or adoption, according to the 1999 issue of Jet magazine. She refused. On June 10, 1973, she named her daughter Faith because of her decision to keep her child. Shortly after Faith's birth, the couple broke up. To this day Mr. Swain never recognize Faith Evans as his daughter and have never seen his grandchildren. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Srb4271 (talk • contribs) 02:19, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] what is with the "Notable Relatives"section?
I am confused by the Notable Relatives section. Her daughter Chyna is NOT famous nor is she officially in the business even though according an Vibe interview Chyna is musically inclined-she can sing and plays the violin. I think the section should be renamed to something else to include all her children and her current husband Todd Russaw
and Michael-Evans is her mother's last name, she does not have her father's last name I believe because her parents broke up before she was born.
[edit] that picture on the top....
Is very unattactive. Although it is her newest picture it does not due her any justice. SHe is a very pretty woman and should have a better pic than that. I changed it and someone changed it back for some reason. I am unsure why people insist in using the picture.
