[edit] Spelling
Shouldn't Fairytale be spelt Fairy Tale (with a space)? --Renduy 20:27, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- Certainly not with a space. Compound nouns used as adjectives get at least a hyphen, and sometimes get stuck together -- as in "fairytale", which is a common adjective. Goldfritha 00:45, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disney
As far back as the Brothers Grimm, transcribers and retellers who were specifically aiming at children were editing the stories for that audience -- Disney is merely a part, and a fairly late part, of the process. And as for the early ones being "unsuitable for children" -- many were told to audiences including children in all their gory and immoral glory. It was a matter of opinion what is actually unsuitable. Goldfritha 17:15, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The list
The list is getting very long. Unless someone objects, I will split it off soon. Goldfritha 01:11, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Splitting. Goldfritha 01:24, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Why is listing The Journal of Mythic Arts as an online journal of fairy tale fantasy considered spam? It has been online for ten years, has published many critical works on fairy tales and fairy tale fantasy, and is cited as a reference and an influence by the two other journals listed, The Fairy Tale Review and Cabinet des Fees.
