[edit] Reconstruction

This page needs to be completely restructured! There are 8 families of fairies and trolls are NEVER mentioned as fairies in the books. Alos, I'm fairly sure that Warlocks are of any race of fairy.--Romulus 23:02, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

Well, i agree with some of your views. first i do agree that warlocks are of any race because how else would they have had them in the begining lost colony. But i disagree with the troll thing. my argument comes from page 100 and 101 of The Artemis fowl files it says " Follow this simple test to see if you might have fairy ancestry." the races listed are goblin, troll, dwarf, elf, sprite, centaur, and pixie. this leaves out Demons, Gnomes, and their so called Atlanteans. As you know Demons are later declared fairies so that means Colfer messed up or Gnomes aren't fairies... most likely the latter. Oh, and on the Atlantean note on page 145 of Opal Deception it describes the Atlantean guard as a slight elf. This most likely means that he is simply a decedent of elves that developed gills for water such as some animals have traits that are different than others in their some spices. Okay, i would like feed back please if you got something to say, say it but for now i'm not shure whether to edit the page or not.

If you're going to spell the word sure as "shur" then no, you shouldn't edit the page. -007bond 02:43, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Removed atlanteans section

I removed this section because when "Atlanteans" are referenced in the Artemis Fowl books, they mean people living in the fairy city of Atlantis, as opposed to Haven. They are not referring to mythical creatures that can breath underwater.

Please leave this here for anybody who comes looking in the near future as I referred people to the talk page in the edit summary of the removal. -007bond aka Matthew G 09:57, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lepricons

There are descriptions of several difrent creatures such as elves, gnomes and many other but there are nothing about the Lepricons. Why is that?

If you had actually read the books in question, then you would know that leprechauns are, in fact, a division of the LEP (Lower Elements Police). Their main purpose is to Reconnaissance, hence the name LEPRecon. I will not specify what I did to Mr. Jameson, I will just verify that I was present when the murder happened. 21:53, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 8 speciest

in the blurb of artemiss fowl 5 it refers to there being 8 fairy species. There are 9 listed here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.98.255.194 (talk) 01:23, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

If you look, the centaurs & trolls are in a separate section from the 8 families (Elves, Demons, Gnomes, Gremlins, Dwarves, Pixies, Sprites & Goblins) - so there are only 8. Although as a point, I've noticed a few things in the article that just don't sound right.
1, the article makes it sound like Goblins can just breathe fire out of their nose, where if you read book the goblin creates it in his hand an then inhales the fire to breathe it back out.
2, the article says that trolls are slow, but in book 1 it says "The troll moved faster than Butler would have believed possible", and in book 4, it says that the trolls move something like 6 meters a stride, which I wouldn't call slow.
3, I don't remember any mention of horns on a centaur, or any mention of centaurs being the 2nd largest, can someone cite references to them (book & chapter)?
4, Shielding is listed as a very magic consuming act, but the only times that characters seem to have a problem with it is when they have so little magic as to be effectively no magic, so it can't be that draining.
5, A time stop is a mixture of magic and technology. The 1st book says that Foaly has elven warlocks perform a timestop spell into lithium batteries.

[edit] Main Article Gnome link??

since the main article for Gnomes doesn't exist, should it be deleted? Legoktm (talk) 05:21, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
