Is Fairuza's father, Solomon Feldthouse, really Roma or Persian? He was born in Pingry, Idaho--not exactly a diverse place--and supposedly moved to Turkey as a child. He was an early pioneer in world music, but I have seen no evidence that he was anything other than white bread. Can anyone corroborate his supposed ancestry?

I agree with this. I think the Persian ancestry (aswell as the Roma, probably)is invented.

[edit] List of Occultists

I'm not sure she should be included on this list because I heard on the IMDb boards that she sold her store a long time ago and also because it's not exactly well-known that she practices magick.

In fact, the only way I heard about it was by reading the webpage written by the Witch who consulted on The Craft.

Just a thought, though.

[edit] Cleanup

I dropped the cleanup template on the page. There are instances of subjective point of view, incomplete sentences, double bullets, an instance of a "list" consisting of a single bullet point, and minor style problems. Also, several of the items in the Trivia section are hopelessly vague and require expansion. I don't have time to cleanup the article tonight and I know very little about the actress, so I left the banner in the hopes that someone else can take it on. Canonblack 23:56, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gypsy Ancestry

Fairuza Balk is of Gypsy(Roma) ancestry

More than happy to believe this but can we have some sourcing please? 193.129.65.37 04:28, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Well the Persian heritage seems not to be true... http://www.sirocco-music.com/~elcoyote/solbio.html

If it's the father..if he is or isn't..doesn't count. All Semite blood..Rom/gitano..Hebrew must come from the mom's side. that means she's just white. we also have a habit of using our mother's name as our lastname

That's a way of reckoning purely internal to Semitic communities. I'm not so sure it's suitable for encyclopedia entries. 72.89.215.130 02:14, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Gypsy families are mostly Patrilineal, Jewish People are Matrilineal.

[edit] The triangle tattoo that Ru has

Ok Peeps, this is a problem i have. The triangle tattoo that Fairuza has on her left lower shoulder/upper arm is not green, but in fact blue. Now I've attempted to change this THREE times now, citing the problem and all, but it keeps saying it's green. So, YOU be the judge. Check out this pic of our beloved Ru, and see for yourself:

I'd say thats blue, don't you?

Peace out,

Tommy Pendragon. Tommy Pendragon 05:18, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm unsure whether this is green or blue. It looks blue but it could be a shade of green that comes out looking blue in the photograph. In any case, please stop linking Balk to an article about london buses. I think we can both agree that her tattoo has nothing to do with the article you are linking in. --Yamla 15:19, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

ok, I'm not TRYING to link it to some bus company, it's just that everytime I change it to the CORRECT color, it links it to something completely apart from the subject. But the truth of the matter is that tatto of hers is blue. I've seen numerous movies with her, and it ALWAYS shows up blue. And until someone finally changes the damn thing to say blue, and it stays that way, then I'll keep changing it. It's my duty as a huge Fairuza Balk fan to do so.

-Tommy Pendragon Tommy Pendragon

Okay, well you are welcome to change it but please leave it pointing to the current article, not the article on bus companies. --Yamla 15:13, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

There, i figured out the problem.i shouldn't have had the brackets around it, making it a link. Now it's the correct color, but it doesn't hhave the link. I apologize for the error i made. - Tommy PendragonTommy Pendragon 02:34, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

The edit, as well as the entire trivia listing, is a violation of WP:OR and touches on problems with WP:BLP. There were NO Blue triangles, and Green was for criminals, not gypsies, who, as the link displays, was black, then brown. As such, without a citation, it should not be included. ThuranX 14:04, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

I believe the tattoo is turquois (as in Fairuza). Free4all76 17:39, 18 December 2007 (UTC)free4all76 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Free4all76 (talk • contribs)

[edit] American History X

She was in American History X, Why doesn't say she is?The Clydelishes Clyde 15:16, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Humboldt County

I changed the link to (film) from (movie) and added it to the list on the requested movie articles page. I only changed it from (movie) to (film) because I didn't realize that another link was created on this page before I added it to the requested and disimbugation pages. [edit] Muslim convert?

Fairuza is not a Muslim convert, is she? --121.218.215.16 (talk) 04:37, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
