Talk:Failed back syndrome
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A substantial number of back surgeries fail right of the start. Frequently back surgery results in creating some repetition of the same medical problem in the lower or upper spinal disc, requiring surgical attention.
Clearly there are situations where there is no other option but cutting the back, but reality shows only about 2% of all back pain patients may result in "must cut" category.
[edit] Cost
Clearly back surgeries are not only very expensive and take long healing and recovery time which may also increase its cost by having to be laid up on recovery bed. Most back surgery bills can cost as low as $15,000.00 to $75,000.00 each depending of complexity and many other factors.
