Description

Fairey Barracuda Mk. V torpedo- and dive bomber around 1943 - the caption says Mark III, but this is a Mark V for the following reasons;

  1. - squared off wing tips
  2. - fillet at the bottom of the vertical fin can just be seen
  3. - enlarged "beard" radiator and spinner for the Griffon engine
  4. - prominent flame dampre for the Griffon engine
  5. - lack of smaller chin radiators for the Griffon engine
