Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales for Every Child is a long-running animated television series on HBO that retold popular fairy tales by setting them in different cultures and settings and featuring voices provided by celebrities. The television series was narrated by Robert Guillaume, originally aired from 1995 to 1998 on HBO, and is currently airing on the HBO Family digital cable television channel in the United States since 1999.

  • Beauty and the Beast - The classic famous fairy tale gets set in the African Sahara Desert as Beauty is voiced by Vanessa Williams and a beast played by Gregory Hines.
  • Snow White - The classic Brothers Grimm Fairytale gets a Southwestern U.S. setting with a Native American flavor, with the title character renamed White Snow, as a Native American Chieftain's daughter.

  • The Pied Piper - The classic children's story gets an African-American Jazzy setting, with Samuel L. Jackson, as a stranger uses his saxophone to rid the village of Hamlyn of rats.
