[edit] Biography

The daughter of an artist/decorator and an engineer,[4] Hunter grew up on the bayou, where she learned about crabbing, fishing, and survival skills, all of which, along with horses and dogs, interested her more than more traditionally-female skills. She loves history, ancient writings, and literature, including fantasy and science fiction. With the encouragement of her teachers, she began writing during high school. Her hobbies include making jewelry, whitewater rafting, yoga, lifting weights, and reading.[1][5]

With a degree in Allied Health Technology,[2] Hunter works full-time in a rural hospital.[6] She is married to Rod Hunter.[7]
