Fairway Buoy

A fairway buoy is a navigational or marker buoy which generally marks the entrance to a shipping channel or a nearby landfall. Water surrounding a fairway buoy is free of hazards as it is anchored in open water.
Fairway buoys are painted half red and half white, vertically. Lighted fairway buoys flash morse code "A".
