Fairland is a residential suburb in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. The area originates from a farm called Weltenvrede.
Currently, statistics show that Fairland has the lowest crime compared to other suburbs within Johannesburg.
Major shopping centres around Fairland include: Cresta Shopping Centre, Clearwater Shopping Centre, EL Corro Shopping Centre, World of Wear Shopping Centre, Trade Centre, Makro etc.
There are a number of schools in the area, namely Laerskool Fairland, and Cliffview Primary School.
The N1 highway passes Fairland on the North-Westerly side with two offramps. 14th Avenue/ N1 and newly upgraded spaghetti offramp Beyers Naude/ N1.
Johannesburg City Centre is in close proximately (10km) with direct access to Beyers Naude drive. Homeowners living in Fairland are quite lucky as they miss traffic approaching from the Northerly side of Johannesburg flowing towards City Centre.
Fairland is growing with an exciting rate and big corporates are investing, namely MTN and FNB Home loans.
