Fagani

Fagani is small village located 2 km near Petlad in Gujarat, India. The town is near Anand, one of the biggest cities of Gujarat. Fagani has a population of around 5000. There are mainly farmers in this town. However, other professions include doctors, pharmarcists, computer engineers, mechanical engineers, etc. Farmars mainly grow bananas, tobacco and chile peppers. Farming is their basic source of income. For generations, many people have lived here and it is believed that many of the families of this town, according to the elders, came from Punjab, a northern state of India. This occurred, according to local belief, about 400 years ago. However, new generation does not believe in this ideology.

Fagani rececently hosted a cricket tournament by which their youth club helped the foundation of village.
