Looks like there's a new policy, SXC photos should be tagged with:
{{sxc-warning}}
until their owner is contacted and grants permission.

What the... I'm blocked while at school, even when logged in? That's new. Things work fine while I'm at home, but is there any way for Wikipedia to differentiate me from other anonymous users behind the school proxy? -Fadookie Talk 17:14, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Not at present, its a bug that has been filed but hasn't gotten around to. Evenually yes, but for now no, sorry! Perhaps you can make a note of the edits you want to make on your talk page and edit them when you get home -- Tawker 23:04, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Fair use criteria

Hello. I noticed you are using Image:Pf logo.jpg on your user page User:Fadookie/Userbox. However, this image has a fair use tag, and user pages can not use such images. (see Wikipedia:Fair use criteria #9) Could you please replace the image with a more appropiate one, and double check none of the other images on your userpages have the same problem. It seems that User:Heligoland accidentally reverted] a number of comments on Wikipedia:Templates_for_deletion/Log/2007_January_19, including several of mine and a new comment and changed vote of yours. I tried to put everything back. You may want to check to make sure that I did things right, and that the version I just put back matches your current intentions. [edit] RE: Template:WikiProject Professional sound production

Hey Fadookie! I really appreciate the initiative you took! My main goal was to "get the ball rolling" whether someone used my code or not. I'd never made a template before so was learning as I went along but ran out of time to work on it.

I'm totally fine with using the full name. I only opted for the short version because I was unaware of the standard. Good work on the assessment scheme and getting the automation going. That was something that really needed to happen because of the vast amount of substandard articles we have to tackle.

And thanks for keeping me posted and checking with me! Your community attitude is awesome. Hopefully once my studies die down I'll have time to get back to contributing to the project. In the meantime, keep it up! :) --Davidkazuhiro 05:45, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Loudspeaker peer review request

I've requested the article Loudspeaker to have peer review. I noticed it was pretty good and might deserve a GA status. If you can take a look at it too and help evaluate and improve it's quality, that would be great. The peer review tag can be found on the article's talk page. --Davidkazuhiro 10:33, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:ERGSS.jpg

Hello, Fadookie. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:ERGSS.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Fadookie/Gamma Squad. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 02:21, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Galaxy1.highlight.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Galaxy1.highlight.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 18:44, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Newcleushadowall.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Newcleushadowall.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rossrs (talk) 12:56, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
