[edit] talk:personal life
You shouldn't call something a "nonce usage" when it's in standard dictionaries. The fact that you don't know a standard word just means that's something that you don't happen to know. Michael Hardy 23:21, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
- defining "Personal Life" as someone's "career" might as well be a nonce usage of "career" - i had never heard it until you used that sense of the word to define "Personal Life" with it - which - had you not just come to my user page to make to me look bad - you would've pointed out was the root of our disagreement. i am the 3rd or 4th person to comment on the misguidedness of that usage of the word on talk:personal life, out of like 6 or 7 comments. so it isn't just me who disagrees. i DO know the standard USAGE of the word "career", & it is far & away from the meaning of "pesronal life". lakitu 08:51, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
