The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences is part of the University of Cambridge. It comprises three departments: Politics, Social and Developmental Psychology, and Sociology. It also includes the Centre for Family Research.

The Social and Political Sciences Tripos (commonly known as "SPS") has been running at Cambridge University for many years. For undergraduates, the course is initially multi-disciplinary, encompassing Politics, Psychology, Sociology and Social Anthropology.[1]

The number of applicants per place for SPS is one of the highest in Cambridge, averaging around 6 to every place.[2]
