Factoryville is a borough in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,144 at the 2000 census.

When driving through town, there are signs indicating their pride in native son and baseball hall of famer Christy Mathewson.

In 1996, Factoryville won the Christy Mathewson Little League championship for the first time in many years defeating Dalton 9-6 in the final game.

Factoryville is located at 41°33′51″N, 75°46′53″W (41.564042, -75.781516)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.8 square miles (1.9 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 1,144 people, 338 households, and 231 families residing in the borough. The population density was 1,535.3 people per square mile (588.9/km²). There were 363 housing units at an average density of 487.2/sq mi (186.9/km²). The racial makeup of the borough was 93.97% White, 3.32% African American, 0.26% Native American, 1.31% Asian, 0.26% from other races, and 0.87% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.84% of the population.

There were 338 households out of which 35.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.8% were married couples living together, 12.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.4% were non-families. 25.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.59 and the average family size was 3.18.

In the borough the population was spread out with 19.8% under the age of 18, 31.8% from 18 to 24, 22.4% from 25 to 44, 17.3% from 45 to 64, and 8.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 24 years. For every 100 females there were 96.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.9 males.

The median income for a household in the borough was $34,375, and the median income for a family was $44,375. Males had a median income of $32,014 versus $18,482 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $14,660. About 10.0% of families and 11.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 15.9% of those under age 18 and 8.2% of those age 65 or over.

The third Saturday in August every year is recognized as a holiday in Factoryville. Christy Mathewson Day celebrates the baseball Hall-of-Famer who was born in Factoryville on August 12, 1880. The festivities include a parade from Keystone College to Christy Mathewson Park, a 6km foot race (in honor of Mathewson's nickname, “The Big 6”), a chicken barbecue, games and many other activities.
