Fabrizio Serbelloni

Fabrizio Serbelloni (Sorbelloni) (1695-1775) was an Italian Cardinal. He became Dean of the College of Cardinals. He was from a prominent family in Milan.
He was a graduate of the University of Pavia, becoming doctor in utroque iure. He served as inquisitor general in Malta, in 1726.
He was ordained in 1731, and in the same year was made titular archbishop of Patras. In the 1730s and 1740s he was a papal nuncio.
In 1753 he was created cardinal. He subsequently acted as a legate. He became Bishop of Albano in 1763, and Bishop of Ostia in 1774.
