Fabrizio Grossi

Fabrizio Grossi (born March 12, 1967 in Milan, Italy), former bass player for an extended variety of artists, is a much in demand record Producer/ Writer, Mixer, Re-mixer and, for selected projects, he covers often, the role of Executive producer. Starting in 1996, he dedicated himself, mainly to his Producer role, abandoning the touring activity, but continuing playing bass in lots of his productions and as a side guest for, several recording artists.
He has produced more the 25 albums and mixed more than 40, plus various singles mixes and re-mixes. As bass player he has recorded and/or performed with the likes of Steve Vai (David Lee Roth, Whitesnake, solo artist), Nina Hagen, Ice T, George Clinton and P-Funk, Steve Lukather (Toto),Killah Priest and Wu-Thang, Sen Dogg and Cypress Hill, Mickey Thomas and Starship, Starbreaker, Neal Schon (Journey, Soul Circus), Frank Gambale (Chick Corea, solo artist), Richie Kotzen (Poison, solo artist ) and Elan, just to name a few.
As Producer, he has directed a wide array of artists and musicians. Dave Navarro (Jane's Addiction,Panic Channel),Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Trapeze, Black Sabbath, Chad Smith & John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers),Steve Lukather (Toto), Ice T, Body Count, Killah Priest/Wu-Thang, George Clinton,Tina Arena, Slash (Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver), Nina Hagen, Neal Schon, Mickey Thomas/Starship, House of Lords, Pat Travers, Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, Rod Steward), Tony Harnell (TNT, Morning Woods, Starbreaker) and Starbreaker, are just some of most notorious collaborations.
Fabrizio, also linked his Writer/Producer name, to TV programs and feature movies, like the WWF Women of Wrestling show and to the more recent tracks featuring Chad Smith & John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers) for the Sony Picture “Shaft” feat. Academy award
winner Jamie Foxx. He is constantly working on new songwriting material for famed and up-coming artists and on developmental TV and Movies material.
His re-mixes and sound designing, are a fusion of ethnic/middle eastern sounds, with European club atmospheres, funky beats and “Sound-scaping” rock guitars and, as unique as his production approach, gained him a well respected position among the board pros.
But let's not be fooled into label his work into one specific music genre. Even though, his upbringing and his fame are rock branded (hard, heavy and extreme), he's one of few producer/mixer that can handle a Hardcore band and then re-mix [pop record, or direct a Goth artist and write a hip-hop smash. Fabrizio states that his "open wide view and talent" could have never be developed, without numberless listening to his heroes work: Rick Rubin, Andy Wallace, George Martin, Trevor Horn and Jeff Lynn.
Fabrizio has been also working with several major music manufacturers companies such as Digitech, Dean Markley, Rode and CAD Microphones, Manne Guitars, Mark Basses Amps ,Carvin Amps & Accessories, Tascam, Line 6, Ibanez guitars , Demeter & MOTU as artist endorsee, but also as beta tester and advisor in the development of new products and technologies/applications.
He’s currently splitting his time between the realization of the second volume of his signature and critically acclaimed Lounge-Chill-House-Techno project “Sounds of Pisces”,two debuts album for Goth heavy rock bands and the direction/realization of several DVD for fame act like Body Count/Ice T, T&A (Carmine Appice & Pat Travers) that will feature his acclaimed 5.1 surround sound mixes.
