Fabian Wegmann (born June 20, 1980 in Münster) is a German road racing cyclist, known as a climbing specialist.
Wegmann participated in the 2004 and the 2005 Tour de France. He is 1.78 meters tall, weighs 60 kg, and currently lives in Freiburg. He has been a member of Team Gerolsteiner since 2004.
At the 2004 Giro d'Italia, Wegmann won the "King of the Mountains" jersey as the race's best climber. At the 2005 Tour de France, Wegmann attacked early on Stage 7 in an attempt to win the stage that ended in Karlsruhe, Germany. Due to his tremendous lead (at points up to 17 minutes on the main peloton), he became the virtual leader in points and general classification. However, he was caught near the end of the stage.
