Fabián Alberto Cubero nicknamed Poroto (Mar del Plata, December 21, 1978) is a footballer from Argentina. He is currently playing for Tigres. He spent the first 10 years of his career with Vélez Sársfield, at the end of 2006 he was sold to UANL Tigres in Mexico. He is a tough tackling and versatile defender or midfielder.
in 1997 he was part of the Argentina Under-20 team that won the World Youth Cup in Malaysia. He has also been part of 2 Argentine League winning squads. He helped Vélez to win the Clausura 1997 and the Clausura 2005 titles.
