[edit] Top o' the page
How does this template stay at the top of the page?
~VNinja~ 19:02, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- It doesn't. You're thinking of template:featured article. savidan(talk) (e@) 07:48, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Switch code
Following the TfD, I was wondering what support there would be for merging this with {{featured article}}. A simple switch code, based on whether or not the template was in the article, would then automatically choose whether to put the star at the top of the page or inline. This reduces mistakes such as using in an article, and reduces redundancies. smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 18:39, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] checkmark in code?
What does the checkmark/tick/✓ in the template's code do? -Quiddity 06:34, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
- I believe the template may be written incorrectly. I think that the "✓" was supposed to be alt text, while "Featured article" was intended to be title text. The difference is that alt text appears when an image doesn't appear, while title appears when the mouse hovers over the image. Currently, mediawiki image syntax doesn't support this, both are forced to be the same. I think it might have supported it in the past, though. -- kenb215 talk 18:48, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
