I see the digraph FH mentioned. What about PH ? Mikkalai 07:35, 16 Dec 2003 (UTC)

"in education, F is a failing grade" - can someone make this a bit more specific (certain qualification or country maybe?) Davidjamesgill 12:50, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] F in Etruscan

This article says F stood for the w sound in Etruscan, but elsewhere in Wikipedia it says F stood for the v sound. Which is right?? Georgia guy 00:21, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure, where on wikipedia does it say that? Fresheneesz 01:45, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
Etruscan F is transcribed as Latin V, which was a similar if not the same sound. However, Latin V wasn't pronounced [v], but [w]. Greek F was also pronounced [w], and Etruscan had no other voiced fricatives, so it's a good bet that Etruscan F was pronounced [w] too. kwami 08:04, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
