SC Astra Ploiesti is a football club from Romania. The team was founded in 1934, and played for several years in the lower football leagues from Romania. It had five consecutive appearances in Liga I between 1998 and 2003.

SC Astra Ploiesti has played in Liga III in the 2006/2007 season. After the lost of the promotion in the 2nd Division the team names changed into CSM Ploiesti, and will play in yellow-blue colours, the same colours that Petrolul Ploiesti uses, their main rivals!
