Frank Wilfred Jordan invented together with William Henry Eccles the so called "flip-flop"-circuit in 1919 . There is little else known about him. (Source: Radio Review Dez. 1919, pages 143 following).
This flip-flop circuit became the most important circuit in computer technology for it can be given a large number of different actions.
