Famanoran or F'nor is a fictional character in Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series.

F'nor is the rider of the brown dragon Canth and was the son of Benden Weyr's former Weyrleader, F'lon and its current Headwoman Manora. He was also the half-brother of the current weyrleader, F'lar. When he first apears he is a wingsecond at Beneden.

F'nor plays a major part in several of the books including making a heroic, but unwise, attempt to visit the Red Star traveling between by means of visual directions obtained through a telescope. His intent was to discover if they could destroy Thread at its source. When they arrived, they witnessed great seething masses of thread, and were almost burned alive by the searing heat, they were called back by Brekke, a weyrwoman who had lost her Queen Dragon, and loved F'nor. Brekke used the fire-lizards to call to Canth, and they returned via between. As they fell from the sky, other dragons supported them and gently lowered them to the ground. Any human who had Impressed a dragon or fire lizard experienced the shock of Brekke's cry, "Don't leave me alone!"

F'nor and Brekke lived together for many years and had two sons: F'rek and Nemekke. Oddly, F'rek was named this as a baby, whereas a dragonrider's name is usually not shortened until he Impresses.
