F1 Career-Sim is a racing simulation league that uses the rFactor software made by ISI. The league was founded in 2006 by David Gonzalez. Since its beginning the league has grown in popularity quickly and now boasts over 200 forum members.

2006 was the foundation year of F1 Career-Sim and it saw the inaugural F1CS Formula One World Championship. The driver's championship was won by David Gonzalez, the founder of F1CS and Renault lead driver. He won by 7 points from Whata Stroud of McLaren. The constructors championship was taken by Renault. 2006 also saw a British F3 Championship in F1CS. David Gonzalez won this too by 2 points from Plim although Wyatt Gooden who had been leading after 2 rounds having won both did not compete in Rounds 3 and 4 and therefore lost the championship. The championship was cancelled after 4 rounds.

2007 was a busy year for F1 Career-Sim. Formula One was joined by a support series in GP2. The F1 championship was again contested between David Gonzalez and Whata Stroud, this time with the latter coming out on top by 24 points. McLaren took the constructors championship. In the inaugural GP2 Series Bjorn Klaasen took 4 wins and the championship under the name of Soyseitan. Mikael Lindqvist came second 14 points behind. As the winter set in F1CS ran some championships to keep people busy in the winter months. The ChampCar Winter Series ran for 4 rounds before being cancelled due to server issues which were later sorted but the championship was not resumed as it was felt there was not enough time left and F1 Season 2008 needed to be concentrated on. Whata Stroud was declared the champion. The other winter series was the Porsche Mobil 1 Carrera Cup. This was won by Ryan Gilmore of HISAQ Competition by 18 points from Kevin Brents.

The 2008 year is the third year for F1CS. It is to see the Formula One World Championship for the third season and the GP2 Series return for its second season. The first GP2 Asia Series was also run being won by Matej Fekonja of Campos Racing from his team-mate AJ Pintx.
