Description

A McDonnell Douglas F-4J Phantom II (BuNo 153831) of fighter squadron VF-41 Black Aces over Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia (USA). VF-41 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing Seven (CVW-7) aboard the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Independence (CVA-62) for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 30 April 1968 to 27 January 1969. From 1970 to 1975 VF-41 was then assigned to CVW-6 (tail code "AE").
