- RAAF Museum, Melbourne - 1 F-4E painted to represent one of the examples flown by the RAAF while awaiting delivery of the F-111

- Andersen Air Force Base - an F-4G is on display with the tailcode "PN" for the 3rd Tactical Fighter Wing of the 13th Air Force[1]

- Luftwaffe-Museum, Berlin - Two former Luftwaffe F-4F Phantoms ('38+04' and '38+34') and one RF-4E Phantom ('35+62') [2]

- RAF Museum, London, England - RAF McDonnell Douglas Phantom FGR2 'XV424'.[3]
- Midland Air Museum, Coventry, England - USAF F-4C Phantom II F-4C-15-MC (AF Ser. No. 63-7699) is on display and USAF F-4C Phantom II F-4C-15-MC (AF Ser. No.63-7414) is kept in a dismantled state for parts; both are on loan from the USAF Museum.[4]
- Fleet Air Arm Museum, Somerset, England - Royal Navy McDonnell Phantom FG1 'XT596'[5]

- Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona - There is a dwindling number of USAF, USN and USMC F-4s in AMARC storage at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.[6][7]
- Murrieta, California - Phantom II F4H-1, BuNo 145310, U.S. Navy,[8] is located at French Valley Airport, Murrieta, California.[9]
- USS Midway, San Diego, California. Two F-4s are on display on the USS Midway.[10][11]
- Fremont, Colorado - An F-4C is on display at the Fremont County Airport. [12]
- United States Air Force Academy, Colorado - An F-4C is located on the Cadet Parade Ground of the USAFA campus in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
- Eglin AFB, Florida - Two Phantom IIs, an F-4D and RF-4E, are on display at the Air Force Armament Museum near Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.[13]
- MacDill AFB, Florida - An F-4E is on display on base at MacDill Memorial Park. The aircraft is painted in the colors of the 56th Tactical Fighter Wing when it was based at MacDill.[14] [15]
- NAS Pensacola, Florida - Multiple examples of the F-4J, F-4S and RF-4B are on display or in storage at the National Museum of Naval Aviation.
- Pooler, Georgia - An F-4C is on display outside in the parking lot of the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum in Pooler, Georgia.[16]
- Hickam AFB, Hawaii - An F-4C is on display along the flight line near the east gate of Hickam AFB, HI.[17]
- Pekin, Illinois - A former Illinois Air National Guard F-4C is on display at Pekin Municipal Airport [18]
- NAS Patuxent River, Maryland - An F-4J is on display at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum on base.
- United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland - An F-4B is on display on the USNA camnpus.
- Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio - Multiple examples of F-4s and RF-4s are on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
- Shaw AFB, South Carolina - An RF-4C is on display on base. The aircraft is painted in the colors of the 363rd Tactical Reconnaissance Wing when it was based at Shaw.
- Houston, Texas - One aircraft, an F-4D, is operated by the Massachusetts-based non-profit organization Collings Foundation as a "living history" exhibit.[19][20] Funds to maintain and operate the aircraft, which is based in Houston, Texas, are raised through donations/sponsorships from public and commercial parties.[21][22]
- Lackland AFB, Texas - An F-4E is on display near the west gate at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas.
- Hill AFB, Utah - Multiple variants of the F-4 are on display at the Hill Aerospace Museum and at multiple locations around Hill AFB.
- NAS Oceana, Virginia - An F-4J is on display on base at the NAS Oceana Aviation Heritage Park.
- Seattle, Washington - A F-4C Phantom II is on display at the Museum of Flight, Seattle, Washington.[23]
- Maxwell AFB, Alabama - An F-4 is on display in Education Circle.
- Goodfellow AFB, Texas - An F-4 is on display on the corner of Kearney Blvd and Canberra
- Monett, Missouri - An F-4E in Thunderbird markings is on display in the city park, near the intersection of MO-37 & US-60.
- Cleveland, Ohio - Two F-4 Phantoms are displayed at the entrance gate at Burke Lakefront Airport. The Phantoms are painted as examples of Blue Angels and U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds aircraft.
- The Citadel - An F-4C is on display on the campus of The Citadel in Charleston, S.C..
- National Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. has an F-4 of VMFA-232 on display.
- The Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum at MCAS Miramar has an RF-4B from VMFP-3 and an F-4B from VMFA-134 on display.[24]
