Description

A Grumman F-14A Tomcat of fighter squadron VF-114 Aardvarks flying alongside a Soviet Tupolev Tu-95RT Bear D maritime patrol aircraft. Exact date photo taken not known. VF-114 made six deployments as part of Carrier Air Wing Eleven (CVW-11) on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN-65) between 01 Sep 1982 and 16 Mar 1990, mostly to the Pacific and the Indian Ocean.
