Description

A US Navy fighter squadron VF-32 Swordsmen F-14A Tomcat aircraft, foreground, flies a joint patrol with a British Royal Air Force Phantom FGR.2 of No. 19 Squadron during Operation Desert Shield in December 1990. The US Tomcat was based aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67), the RAF Phantom was home based at RAF Wildenrath (Germany), but flying out of RAF Akrotiri (Cyprus).
