Hi, have just added history and rewritten most of the rest. The page is in real need of a quality close-up photo of an original or fáinne nua. The only one I have is copyright (borrowed for my personal use from eBay) so I can't stick it up here.
Could someone please re-rate the new article and look for anything that needs clarified or ia just plain wrong.

Why does Cúpla Focail redirect here? The phrase is often used with no reference to the Fáinne. Very many people here would say that they have cúpla focail Gaeilge, but I've seen very few wearing the Fáinne.
