Eric,

Like many Wikipedia editors, I read and enjoyed your column this morning, on the Zorn's Law incident. Now that it is over (and had a happy ending...), I must encourage you to read and understand WP:POINT.

In other words, don't do this again.  :)

Breaching experiments, which is what the whole Zorn's Law escapade was... are highly discouraged on Wikipedia; many of them are indistinguishable from vandalism (and are sometimes treated as such). Being a notable columnist; you should know that you were given far more latitude than most people would have been, were they to insert eponymous laws into the encyclopedia. Of course, if Zorn's Law does become widely cited (and this can be demonstrated), chances are it will one day have an article. (Even so, I would discourage you from writing it; as another policy we have here, WP:BIO, discourages such conflicts of interest).

At any rate, the whole affair was interesting, I think, for all concerned.
