[edit] More than one cover in the infobox

I made the caption optional so more than one cover can be included in the infobox like this. Jogers (talk) 18:56, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

Neat idea. This will make it very flexible. The if stuff confused me a little when I was looking at the Extra chronology as an example, so I didn't touch it. As for the new color default that's fine. I had just gone with the same as my example, which was the single color, but I think this makes more sense. Nice additions. I'm glad you guys liked the idea enough to run with it. The #if syntax is pretty straightforward. I thought that you may want to read this. I'm glad you like the additions :-) Jogers (talk) 21:50, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Seems straightforward enough. I like how the if used basically an inferred IsDefined when given a non-boolean condition. Thanks for the info. UnhandledException 22:45, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New parameter

I was playing around with the template a little bit. How do you like this? Jogers (talk) 12:28, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

I like the idea. It will make it work for even more circumstances. I was trying to think of a better name for the new parameter, but coming up quite empty. The only things I could think of (like "text", "label" or "description") were less descriptive and more nebulous than the "lower caption" you chose. So, I give it a thumbs up. I couldn't think of a better name neither. What about the original "caption"? I renamed it to "upper caption" to make it less ambiguous. Jogers (talk) 09:30, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm fine with that. Now would be the time to do it, while there's only about 8 inclusions...easy change. UnhandledException 03:50, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thoughts

Are we all aware of {{Dual Cover Album infobox}}? I have no idea if I actually heard about this anywhere; it looks like this just popped up a couple of weeks ago, just before all the discussions at the infobox talk and WP:ALBUM talk.

It looks like we'll be replacing that as well, though one feature there that looks good is that every cover shown can have a caption. The lower caption here is great and I think this can handle just about every eventuality, but as things stand, there's no caption available for the cover in Album infobox itself, right? –Unint 22:23, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

I wasn't aware of it. No, there is no caption available for the cover in the album infobox itself but I don't think it would be hard to implement. 22:41, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
Well, this may be useful. [1]. Jogers (talk) 22:58, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] From Under the Cork Tree

I'm trying to get this template to work on From Under the Cork Tree, but it won't show up. The template is in place and I think it's correct, but it makes no change to the infobox at all. Any help? —Akrabbimtalk 15:40, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Template parameters are case-sensitive. It should be "Misc" instead of "misc". I fixed it. Jogers (talk) 16:16, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. Appreciate it. —Akrabbimtalk 21:54, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Questions and Answers

I cant seem to get the template to work properly for this page. I can't get the captions or the khaki background to show up. Any help? --Daisy-berkowitz 23:37, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Captions didn't show up because of the brackets. They are on the usage page to indicate that a parameter is optional. Jogers (talk) 11:50, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
