[edit] Categories
Well I'm a little unsatisfied with the current look of the Categories division. The problem is that we have more than hundred categories about extinct species, dinosaurs, prehistoric life etc. in the Wikipedia. But my idea is to limit this division to only 20 or 25 categories. Do you have some suggestions which categories we should put in this division? --Melly42 15:45, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- That is indeed a problem. We should make a selection. Maybe the 14 subcategories found in Category:Extinction, because most of these Extinction subcategories even contain subcategories themselves. Peter Maas 15:55, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- i think we should left out the Dinosaur and Prehistoric extinction categories so that only the Holocene extinction topics will appear here in that portal. For categories like Dinosaurs or Prehistoric life i think it is better to create new portals. --Melly42 16:07, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well I disaggree with you on that, as this is an extinction portal, not a Holocene Extinctions portal. I would leave them here as well. Peter Maas 12:16, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

- That might be a good thing to do. Because I think it will be hard to fill that division with another article every time. Peter Maas 18:42, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- it is possible to rename this division into New Topics? So we could use this devision in future to make new topic entrees.
